But hiring the wrong people when youre scaling fast can be critical.

Depending on the sector you operate in, the hard skills youre looking for in new hires will vary.
Ultimately, rapid growth changes the pace and dynamic of any team.
The role they signed up for two years ago might not be the one youre presenting to them now.
So encouraging your team to pursue passion projects on company time is a valuable practice at a fast-growth startup.
None of these projects are being pursued with profit in mind.
