Uh, Cowboy?
Yep, its a Belgian company that makes electric bikes.
Despite this, I didnt come across any huge, glaring flaws during my testing.
![[Best of 2019] The Cowboy e-bike is so good I want to cycle with it off into the sunset](https://img-cdn.tnwcdn.com/image?fit=1280%2C720&url=https%3A%2F%2Fcdn0.tnwcdn.com%2Fwp-content%2Fblogs.dir%2F1%2Ffiles%2F2019%2F07%2F39-2.png&signature=75763e97550d230ffee83099e57e3986)
Also, an interesting little fact before we begin, the company actually managed to get thecowboy.comURL.
Lord knows how much that cost them.
Yeah, but what about the Cowboy e-bike?

What does it look like?
Honestly, its fucking beautiful.
Its a finely designed, gorgeous piece of engineering.

Basically, it made me feel all kinds of ways.
It’s free, every week, in your inbox.
You just need to pick up something
Features.

But if you have a removable battery on your bike?
That pain point is gone.
Nice, anything else?

There are a few other nice touches.
For one, the Cowboy only weighs around 16kg with the battery.
The Cowboy e-bike also has a rubber and glass fiber belt, rather than a chain.

Only time will tell.
Go on then, tell me how the Cowboy e-bike rides
Like a dream.
Like a goddamn beautiful dream.

Ugh, I like it so much.
First what the Cowboy doesnt have.
Thing is, its almost perfect at it.

Many of the e-bikes Ive used have a jittery kick motion when the motor kicks in.
This means youre cycling and get this sharp push from the e-bike.
The Cowboy has none of that.

Its a seamless expression of power, one that makes you feel like youre gliding across the ground.
On top of that, the bikes also fun as hell.
Im not sure what else I can say apart from the fact its brilliant.

What else should I know?
Well, the Cowboy e-bike runs from an app.
And, by unlock, you fire up the motor.
On the topic of safety, Cowboy also has a SIM card inside it.
If someone robs it, it’s possible for you to track your two-wheeler down.
Buy the best locks you’ve got the option to and use them.
So, back to the app.
This is available on iOS and Android and is pretty slick.
It includes a map, lets you toggle lights, and turn the power on and off.
Its not groundbreaking, but its solid enough and works without issue.
One downside of the Cowboy is that you cant unlock the e-bikewithoutthis app.
This means if your gadget runs out of battery, you arent cycling anywhere with power.
Cost-wise, the Cowboy will set you back 1,990 ($2,247).
Yes, thats expensive, but is actually pretty reasonable for an e-bike.
For comparison, the VanMoof Electrified 2 series retails normally for $3,398.
Does the Cowboy e-bike have any major weaknesses?
There are a few.
So, whos the Cowboy for?
It really is that good.
Round this up for me.
I love the Cowboy e-bike.
Its probably the best electrified two-wheeler Ive had the pleasure of testing.
Despite this, I love the Cowboy.
