Dana White posted the preceding video to his Instagram story earlier this week.
Nothing happening here is remotely shocking.
If they’re not your packages, the videos are kind of hilarious.
Same goes for baggage handlers at the airport.
The airport baggage handlers make me angrier.
With FedEx you could typically return the damaged item and get a new one no problem.
That being said, I thought nothing of it when Dana White posted his video.
It all seemed par for the course for what I expect from FedEx drivers.
We’ll get your shit there, but we’ll f* it up," White said.
“My boy don’t give a f*.”
While Dana and many others online found the video comical, FedEx didn’t.
It’s hard to argue that the employee doesn’t deserve it.
The drivers don’t know what’s in each box.
If every box was labeled, “footballs in here”, that’d be a different story.
But that’s not the case.
Drivers are to treat every package like it contains your grandmother’s priceless antique vase.
This driver was caught red handed doing the opposite.
Personally, I feel like they could have given him a strict warning.
Maybe suspend him a couple weeks.
But FedEx wasn’t having it.
Their driver broke the cardinal rule of package delivery, and he was promptly shown the door.
But allow me to advocate for the devil for a minute.
Just for the sake or argument.
If I were to defend this delivery driver, I would say… fuck Dana White man.
That’s not going a long way in New York.
Then maybe if he’sreallylucky he’ll get home at night before his kids are fast asleep.
You think this guy has time to carefully place every little package in the back of his truck?
That man’s personal driver just happens to hit a red light directly next to his truck.
Dana just has to pull out his phone and take a selfie video.
Three days later you’re out of a job.
That’s a tough pill to swallow.
I can’t imagine anybody in the world hates Dana White more than this ex-FedEx driver right now.
And that’s saying something, because A LOT of people hate Dana White.
Your back is against the wall, but you do have options.
It’s not out of the realm of possibility that Dana White cuts you a check.
There’s a world where Dana sees that you were fired and feels bad that his video caused it.
Are you on social media Mr. FedEx Driver?
Do you have children to support?
Do you have any sick family members or outstanding hospital bills?
If so, it’s crucial that you get that information front and center.
Is your son a UFC fan by chance?
Is Dustin Poirier his favorite fighter?
Maybe throw a post out there detailing all of that.
It might be a long shot.
You probably don’t deserve it.
Maybe Dana will even take you to the tunnel of chaos some day.
I’ve never delivered packages.
But just a tip for the drivers out there.
Try sliding the packages instead of throwing them.
People don’t even expect you to bethatcareful with their shit.
They just don’t want to see it go airborne.
I feel like that’s about as efficient as heaving them.
Dana White is in a new city every day.
You never know when he might be filming you.
