There is so much to unpack here.
It goes without saying but congratulations to Alex Cooper, one of the best to ever do it.
Getting engaged is awesome and Alex is the real fucking deal and I love love.
So let’s break down this engagement photo.
Landscaping
The hedges are immaculate.
Do I wish the wisteria were creating a thicker, more comprehensive blanket over their love scene?
Sure, sure I do.
But these crazy kids probably had too much love in their hearts to notice.
Another nit-pick: I can smell whatever that body of water is through the photo.
Ideally, they should trim those trees back a bit to improve our view of the water.
Pebbles
I LOVE the consistency of the pebble path.
Those look rounded and smooth, meaning you could probably stroll out there barefoot.
That’s a meditative afternoon.
Nice to have them in hand.
Plus, they make a greatsquinch squinchsound as you walk.
For my money, this is the best material with which to create a path.
The Guy
Good body.
The right upper arm sleeve is tight to his bicep, which we wanted.
Imagine if it were slack against his upper arm/shoulder?
Fuck that, I’ll speak now but you could forever hold your peace.
Thighs look good and sturdy too.
Hairline locked in like the fucking Trojan Wall.
Taking a knee with no fear of the surrounding fire hazard like he’s a Targaryen.
Apparently we don’t know much about this fella since Alex keeps him relatively private.
We’ll honor that.

I’m sure she posted this photo from this distance for a reason.
Either way, this guy is great and I like him.
His Watch
Little tough to tell but this has all the markings of a Patek Aquanaut in stainless steel.
It might be the travel time.
Probably is, if I know him as well as I think I do.
Plus, super easy to recalibrate time zoneswhich these two need, given their jet-setting lifestyle.
I love him so much.
The Ring
Little grainy.
I went in pretty tight on this one.
I’m talking an entire kindergarten of West African children lost their hands getting this thing to Zales.
Bottom line, we’re all pumped as hell for these two.
A beautiful engagement for a beautiful couple.
