You show your face for the first time and it better work from the jump.
Absolutely not, but that’s how it goes with Yankee fans.
Succeed early and you’re an immediate fan favorite.

Struggle out of the gate and people will have their pitch forks out.
Factor also getting the number 13 on top of it.
you could either be A-ROD or Joey Gallo.

Jazz Chisholm Jr. went with option number one across the board.
The last one though off Strahm was by far the biggest.
By the way, Brian Anderson’s call over at TBS/TNT was 1000 times better than Kay’s.
Made me feel like it was October.
The kids love to talk about aura.
Jazz Chisholm has aura.
Now in class Yankees fashion they’re having Jazz play a position he’s never tried out before.
He did, however, come up as a shortstop and has plenty of experience at 2nd.
3rd is a different animal though and there’s no telling how it’d shake out.
Very early returns so far, but he’s been dare I say…smooth.
There will be hiccups no doubt but he’s got the reaction time to handle it I think.
At least has a better chance than Gleyber over there, that’s for sure.
Is Jazz going to be a home run monster for the Yankees and terrorize pitching left and right?
Well shit I hope so, but we can’t expect that.
At the end of the day he’s a league average MLB bat with pop and speed.
There’s value there no doubt as it prevents a guy like DJ LeMahieu playing.
He feels like the kind of personality who thrives under the lights.
He’s exactly what they needed.
As for the trade deadline as a whole from the Yankees, I was pretty disappointed.
The guys they ended up receiving I’m a big fan of.
Jazz for sure can help lengthen the lineup.
And De Los Santos has swing and miss stuff they believe they can tap into.
They kinda just went through the motions.
If you’re not going to add a SP or another bat, then strengthen that pen.
They have one left handed reliever and it’s Tim Hill.
Are you selling me on Nestor going there once Clarke Schmidt returns?
I don’t know man, it felt like they could have done more given their situation with Soto.
That being said, it’s tough to complain about the last few games.
Series wins in Fenway and Philly ain’t too shabby at all.
Last night’s win was nuts.
Cole was scratched and in came Will Warren to make his MLB debut.
After giving up an early four spot, the way he grinded to get you 16 outs was massive.
The pen after that minus Clay Holmes, was great.
The offense kept punching back until it was enough in the 12th.
Amazing defensive plays by Jazz, Gleyber, and Grish kept the game alive.
It was a game they simply do not win a week ago.
Maybe the vibes are turning and it is really in front of them.
August schedule really softens up after this so they can really gain some momentum with the right luck.
Let’s have a stretch run.
The Clay Holmes dynamic is confusing.
He doesn’t miss enough bats and constantly has traffic on the bases.
It’s just not a good recipe.
Clay makes me very nervous.
