118-46 in College with a National Championship.
HE IS THE GUY.
Specifically, he is the FOOTBALL guy!

And to be honest, it’s a perfect situation for Harbaugh.
Here are the other openings for comparison.
The biggest thing they are missing, obviously, is a franchise QB.But, here is the thing.

Look how many actually complete a second contract with the team that drafted them.
That’s just to say that it is far from a sure thing that you get a franchise QB.
Plus, the NFC East does not look like it’s going to be getting weaker anytime soon.

However, how much of that defense’s success is tied into Pete Carroll’s coaching?
Geno is also a solid band-aid QB but obviously not the future of the franchise.
RAIDERS: The big plus is that Mark Davis will open up the piggybank for a big contract.
The negative is that their roster sucks pretty bad outside of Adams and Crosby.
They have a bubbleish pick and nothing extra outside of extra 7th rounders.
Either way, this feels like Antonio Pierce’s job to lose according to the players.
PANTHERS: This is a stinky place to land.
Especially with a meddler owner like Tepper.
Some exciting players on the roster too which makes this one pretty exciting.
TITANS: Is Levis a franchise QB?
Love him but it’s tough to say.
They have the cap to be frisky in free agency and the 7th overall pick.
If a coach is willing to build around that, it’s a pretty attractive place.
Ok, now for the Chargers.
The biggest positive is that you have Justin Herbert just sitting there for the taking.
The second is that they are in really solid draft position.
They have 5th overall, all of their picks + an extra 7th rounder.
Brock Bowers, anyone?
The third is that you essentially get to take over arguably fakest big-market team in sports.
Within LA Chargers are not more popular than the 49ers.
On top of that, they aren’t as popular as out-of-state teams like the Raiders and Cowboys.
Not a ton of pressure can actually be a good thing!
The fourth is that Spanos is NOT a meddling owner unlike some of the other guys in open positions.
The big negative is that their 2024 cap situation is absolutely fucked.
Bosa, Mike Williams, Eric Kendricks and Pipkins all have to go.
Mack should probably get traded.
However, as all of us know, the cap is fake and can be manipulated like crazy.
The other big negative is having to compete with Mahomes & Reid for the foreseeable future.
Outside of that, its a great gig!
Cap is the only issue and it’s the easiest to fix in the short term.
Come home, Jim.
