The initiative is backed by a group of 31 energy infrastructure operators.

Some 96% of this hydrogen was produced with natural gas, resulting in significant amounts of CO2 emissions.
It is also about three times as expensive as its grey counterpart, produced from fossil fuel sources.
The first plant of this bang out was opened in Septemberoff the coast of Le Croisic, France.

Today it produces half a tonne of hydrogen per day.
Only a fraction of whats needed, but a notable start.
