ButWrathcomes closer to scratching the pen and paper itch than any other CRPG Ive played.
Players are tasked with saving the world from a destructive force hellbent on ruining everything.

However,Wrathis a game thats perfectly content to let you screw up your character.
Luckily, youre not punished for experimenting.
you’re free to respec your characters in game.
And the pre-made party members are among some of the most interesting sidekicks Ive seen in a CRPG.
I didnt like them or their attitude and we absolutely werent going to work out.
As a player, I really enjoyed this character.
But my characters outlook on life was incompatible with theirs, so I ousted them.
And the story, wow, is there a lot of it.
Theres a lot going on in the world ofWrath.
In this way, it was a tale of two games merged perfectly.
As long as I know whats going on in my characters current life, Im good to go.
Wrathrewards that kind of mentality.
And leveling up happens faster than a typical MMO but slower than your average CRPG.
This allows me to experience my character at each early level without ultimately feeling like Im wallowing in weakness.
Graphics, sounds, bugs
The game looks, feels, and sounds great.
Music is a high-point, with each track seemingly adding gravitas to whats going on in the game.
Sound effects and voice-acting are good sometimes just okay, sometimes great.
And, miraculously, I didnt experience any bugs.
Also, for a game with a lot of options thechoiceswerent exactly as meaningful as Id hoped.
Thats the biggest problemWrathsuffers from.
Verdict
Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteousis a fantastic game.
