SonysWH-1000XM4is one of the best noise-canceling headphones money can buy.
So were its predecessors going back to the companys OG premium noise-canceling headphone, theMDR-1000X.
In other words, Sony has a pretty great streak going on.
So I was excited to see leaks of the new WH-1000XM5 begin to pop up.
Leaked images of the new headphones posted byThe Walkman Blogshow a design that departs significantly from Sonys usual aesthetic.

Hopefully, this new design is sturdier in the long run.
It also continues to support both the Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa.
This makes you much more likely to actually use voice commands, in my experience.
The leaked packaging shows that the headphones will continue to support Sonys spatial audio technologies.
Previous Sony headphone have supported pairing to multiple devices, but youd have to manually switch between them.
Bluetooth 5.2 should help the headphones switch between devices quickly, depending on which is playing audio.
And thats about it.
But considering the onslaught of leaks not to mention retail packing its possible they could be released earlier.
