Im supposed to be packing up all the electronics I wont need until after the move.
What does that even mean?
I need all of my electronics all of the time.

Instead, Im pretending to write a review of theseAukeysmart outlets.
Im really just surfing Amazon and planning out our new smart home.
Aukey makes everything fromheadphonestokeyboards.

They feel well-made, theres nothing wrong with how they look, and they work as advertised.
Look: they each have a button.
You plug it in and push the button to turn it on and off.

Now that thats over with, lets talk about smart homes.
My goal is to let Alexa or Google Assistant handle as much of my life as possible.
I cant be bothered with flipping switches, pushing buttons, or turning knobs.

I need a virtual assistant to do those things for me.
It’s free, every week, in your inbox.
Farley is a lot smarter than I am.

Im just going to buy gadgets and download apps.
I might need anAlexa wall clock, Im not sure yet.
But I know Ill need smart outlets.

My TVs dont have Alexa or Google Assistant integration.
Those are among several other gadgets Ill want on my voice-control web connection.
But, Ive settled on these two Aukey models because theyre unobtrusive and respond to commands quickly.

When I tell Alexa to turn off the lights I mean now, not eight seconds from now.
Also, set-up is a breeze:
I set up each outlet for both Alexa and Google Assistant.
The entire process takes about 1-2 minutes per assistant, per outlet.

Aukeys relatively inexpensive price point for these outlets makes them a winner for my budget.
Each of the Aukey smart outlets I tested had the same issue.
I just wish it was smoother.
That means, of course, I highly recommend them.
