If you remember, after the break last season the Celts finished an NBA best 17-5.
They were a wagon that played their way to the brink of an NBA title.
This season, the Celts are coming out of the break an NBA best 41-17.
You could make the case things are about to get even better.
How important is their start after the break?
Well, that all depends.

I’d rather be on the right side of history with this too.

I’d rather not have to worry about it after seeing his brief history of how things shook out.

I had a few people respond to me confused why I personally had Tatum high on that list.
I look at it like this.
Don’t run from it.
Don’t try and deny it.
This Celts team has been the title favorites since the summer.
They’ve been the best team in the NBA all year.
Everything has been about getting back to the Finals and winning it this season.
Everyone from Brad to Joe to the Jays to the role players have all talked about it.
It’s OK to hold this team to a high standard, they are that good.
For the first time probably since the 2007-08 season, this is truly a title or bust year.
Just making the Finals is no longer a success like it may have been in 2021-22.
The Celts broke through already and failed the biggest test.
And let’s be honest, that’s terrifying.
Winning the NBA title is very difficult.
Every possession now means more.
It’s exciting but also terrifying.
No excuses, they have the talent.
They have the blueprint.
Now it just comes down to whether or not they’ll pull it off.
When the season started, it felt like this moment was so far away.
Back then, it was just about establishing that there would be no NBA Finals hangover.
What happens over the next 3 months will determine if they have what it takes to finally become champions.
